1. Acceptance
By using Transkripe, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use Transkripe on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for that organization.
2. What Transkripe provides
Transkripe lets users paste YouTube links and access transcripts when captions or subtitles are available. It also provides optional AI outputs based on transcript text, such as summaries, notes, key points, social drafts, blog drafts, quizzes and similar formats.
3. Accounts and access
- some features may require an account
- users are responsible for maintaining access to their account
- users must provide accurate information where required
- Transkripe may restrict or suspend access for abuse, security risks or violation of these terms
4. Free usage and future paid plans
- free usage limits may apply
- anonymous and logged-in usage limits may differ
- if paid plans are introduced or activated, pricing and plan terms will be shown before purchase
5. Acceptable use
Users must not:
- bypass usage limits or security controls
- overload or disrupt the service
- use the service for unlawful activities
- submit malicious content
- infringe third-party rights
- misuse YouTube or third-party content
- automate scraping of Transkripe without permission
- resell or abuse the service in a way that harms availability for others
6. YouTube and third-party content
- users are responsible for whether they may use, summarize or redistribute third-party content
- YouTube/Google policies may apply to videos and captions
- Transkripe is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube or Google
- YouTube and Google are trademarks of Google LLC
7. AI outputs
- AI outputs may contain mistakes, omissions or inaccurate wording
- users should review outputs before relying on or publishing them
- AI outputs are not legal, medical, financial, academic or professional advice
- users are responsible for how they use generated outputs
8. Availability and changes
- the service may change, be interrupted or become unavailable
- caption/subtitle availability depends on upstream sources
- features may be added, changed or removed
9. Intellectual property
- Transkripe owns its software, website design, brand and original site content
- users retain responsibility for the URLs, prompts and content they submit
- users grant Transkripe the limited rights needed to process submitted URLs, transcript text and prompts to provide the requested service
- users are responsible for respecting third-party rights
10. Disclaimers
Transkripe is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. Transkripe does not guarantee that every YouTube video has captions, that every transcript is complete or that every AI output is accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Transkripe is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, loss of data, business interruption or misuse of third-party content. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it.
12. Termination
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access if a user violates these terms, abuses the service or creates security or legal risk.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country provide otherwise.
